Give Back

At Square Salon, we value giving back and supporting our community. We partner with Smiles for Survivors Foundation and CASA Foundation to support cancer patients and survivors and foster children of all ages. We shave heads each year at head shaving events for St. Baldrick's Foundation to help make wigs for kids with cancer, as well as sorting food at Three Square Food Bank. We also collect food that is then put into holiday care packages and sent overseas to U.S. soldiers. We are committed to giving back and we are proud to support our community that supports us.

Smiles for Survivors - Blow out Cancer

Square Salon hosted the third annual Smiles for Survivors Blow Out Breast Cancer event in October. Our stylists donated their afternoon doing blowouts for guests followed by a large party with 100% of the proceeds benefitting Smiles for Survivors Foundation. It was a wonderful evening that included a DJ, dancing, food, spirits, and a silent auction. Proceeds doubled last year's total at $26,800.

About Smiles for Survivors™

Smiles for Survivors is a registered 501(c)3 foundation, whose mission is to support breast cancer patients and survivors. The organization works with dentists and dental specialists to provide preventative and restorative dental treatment, to educate cancer patients about potential oral side effects of chemotherapy, and to raise awareness in our community about the importance of nutrition and maintaining good oral health before, during, and after cancer treatments. Through a vetting process, Smiles for Survivors Foundation selects qualified breast cancer patients and survivors to participate in the Make Her Smile program, which provides necessary dental procedures to improve oral health.

CASA Foundation - Back to School Event

Nearly 200 foster children received haircuts, manicures, new backpacks filled with school supplies, toothbrushes, socks, and shoes donated by Zappos. The children enjoyed dancing and singing with a DJ, a photobooth, face painters, and great food provided by Rachel's Kitchen. This day was a success because of our community coming together to give back.

About CASA Foundation

The CASA Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in June 1983 whose purpose is to promote and support child advocacy through the Clark County CASA Program.

In the course of their work, many CASA volunteers expressed concern over unmet needs that required financial assistance not available through public agency budgets. By forming a foundation, these volunteers hoped they could address these special needs.
